Biography

Apayata Kotierk is an actor from Iglulik, Nunavut, who has performed in both movies and TV shows. His first role was as camp leader Kumaglak in the film epic Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, which won the prized Caméra d'Or at the 54th Cannes Film Festival, among other awards. His most recent project was starring as the titular character in Isuma’s One Day in the Life of Noah Piugattuk, which had its world premiere in the Canada Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale and its Canadian premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.View Long Biography and Citations
