Biography

Sheojuk Etidlooie was an artist from Kinngait (Cape Dorset), NU. She had a short, remarkable career and is remembered for her minimalist, abstract prints and drawings. Her most frequent subjects were animals that were depicted from aerial or cross-sectional perspectives. From 1994 to 1999 Etidlooie contributed 44 prints to the Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection. Her works are held in the permanent collections of the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Canadian Museum of History, and the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.View Long Biography and Citations
