Biography

Shorty Killikgtee (1949 – 1993) was a sculptor from the region of Kimmirut (Kimmirut), NU. Beginning to carve in the 1960s, his work tended to focus on subjects that he observedsurrounding his home in the Arctic. Turning frequently to depictions of caribou and birds, Killikgtee often employed the characteristic green stone found around his home to bring his stylized sculpture to life.View Long Biography and Citations
