Biography

Victoria Mamnguqsualuk was an artist based in Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake), NU and is one of the best-known artists of her generation. Mamnguqsualuk practiced art in many forms including drawing, printing, textiles and sculpture. Her work is inspired by Inuit traditional stories and myths that were shared with her by her elders. Mamnguqsualuk's work was exhibited in nearly 100 shows in Canada and internationally, and her work can be found in many prominent public collections.View Long Biography and Citations
