Biography

William Taylor is an Inuvialuit carver from Tuktoyaktuk,NT. Taylor is the oldest son of carver and mentor the late Bobby Taylor Pokiak. At a young age of started carving on the caribou antlers and progressed to soapstone as his preferred medium. Taylor has sold many carvings worldwide to tourists and has been an exhibitor in the Great Northern Arts Festival since 2013. Taylors work is known for his representational carvings capture the movements of the seasonal animals and Inuvialuit people’s stories.View Long Biography and Citations
