Biography

Eva Talooki Aliktiluk was born in 1927 in Arviat, NU. She is known for her intricately adorned, colourful beadwork sculptures. Due to the stone in the vicinity of Arviat being quite hard and difficult to carve, the sculptures are minimal in form. Aliktiluk's work is featured in numerous major collections, including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the MacKenzie Gallery in Regina, SK, and the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, QC. Her sculptures have been included in exhibitions in Canada, the United States and Europe.View Long Biography and Citations
