Biography

Jamasee Pitseolak is a carver, printmaker and illustrator based out of Kinngait (Cape Dorset), NU. He is known his carvings of electric guitars, motorcycles and miniatures. Pitseolak’s sculptures are composite pieces fitted together from multiple smaller carved components. He often incorporates puns and word-play into the conception of his pieces. His work is held in the collections of the Canadian Museum of History, Gatineau, Museum of Anthropology, Vancouver and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.View Long Biography and Citations
