Biography

Malaya Bishop is one half of the throat singing (katajjaq) duo the Sila Singers with Jenna Broomfield. Bishop is originally from Iqaluit, NU and is currently based in Edmonton, AB where she studies psychology at the University of Alberta. Malaya learned to throat sing from elders in Iqaluit through an integrative community program in elementary school.View Long Biography and Citations
