Biography

Matthewsie Maniapik is a printmaker based in Panniqtuuq (Pangnirtung), NU. His print 'Piliujartut (Competing Against Each Other)' (2018) shows three young inuk playing together in parkas and full winter clothing. This lighthearted print displays the importance of community and friendship for Inuit. Maniapik's prints are part of the 2018 Pangnirtung Print Collection.
